Maple Leaf
The Connecticut Maple Leaf is published
twice a year by the Publications Committee of the FCGSC and subscription
is included in the price of membership. Articles in the Connecticut
Maple Leaf include research in many areas of French-Canadian
and Acadian genealogy and history, including biographies, how-to
articles, the history of towns, events and groups, and extractions
of appropriate genealogical records and vital statistics of interest
to Franco-Americans.
Members are encouraged to contribute articles and other information,
including extracts from their own family studies. To submit an
article or become part of the Publications Committee, please contact
the CML editor.
If you submit material for publication in the CML, please
be aware of the following:
- Authors own and retain the copyright to the original material
they submit for publication except that, by submitting material
for consideration, authors are granting the French-Canadian
Genealogical Society of Connecticut a license to publish that
material in the CML.
- Authors are requested not to publish the same or substantially
the same article elsewhere for a period of one year after publication
in the CML.
- If the article is subsequently published elsewhere, the work
must cite the CML as the original source of publication.
- Authors are responsible for the accuracy of any material submitted
for publication.
- The editor reserves the right to edit all contributions submitted
by authors for spelling, form, grammar, and obvious error; and
to shorten lengthy articles to fit the available space.
- By submitting an article for consideration, the author represents
that the submitted work is original, unless otherwise noted.
Submission guidelines are available in HTML
format or PDF
format (requires the free Acrobat
Reader.)
The Maple Leaflet is published quarterly (March,
June, September & December) and provides information on upcoming
events, changes or additions to library hours or resources, news
and announcements and other matters of interest to society members.
If you have any news, announcements or other information to contribute
to the newsletter, please contact the editor.
